There’s an irriplacable type of excitement when it comes to the imagination of a child. Playing pretend and having fun is such a valuable tool to nurture our happiness, which is why I absolutely adore my current preschool T.A. job.
Recently, just a little before winter break, I was outside with my students for outdoor play. They were using the cups and rubber animals from the waterplay tables to set up their own play pretend ice cream stand. I was served a cup of sharks, in which I was told it’s “strawberry flavored.” That was the interaction that inspired me to create “Strawberry Sharks.”
