May 3rd-4th of 2025 marked the first time for a new convention for anime enthusiasts; AniPop! The convention was held at the California Center for the Arts, this convention was perfectly set up for accessibility, entertainment, and fun! I had an excellent time at this convention and would love to attend it again next year.
The Vendor Hall
Stepping into the vendor hall brought upon a sense of excitement! Upon arriving at the vendor hall, collecting business cards was a must, much like collecting pokemon! Anipop had an excellent lineup of artists set up with booths and products made for an exciting walk around inside.
The Entertainment
The lineup for entertainment was fantastic! The first performace on Saturday began inside the vendor hall. A large, long, pink Lucky Lion paraded through the vendor hall, passing out good luck cards to all attendees. Following the pink lion outside to the main stage led to the main stage where three Lucky Lions gave a dance performance. From there, the Ice Cream Maid Cafe gals from “Parfait Party” did some terrific dance performances!
A small menu of reasonably priced food was available and tasted just as good as it looked. I myself had the orange chicken with steamed rice and a pink lemonade. Other types of entertainment included classes and workshops, open mic kareoke, and even cosplay meetups for different fandoms!
