Pigducks (Purple Note)
Pigducks, (also known as Purple Note) was my first self insert oc made back in 2012. She’s based on the animated t.v. show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Pigducks was seen a lot in older art I made during middle school and high school. She is also Sky’s partner!

Getting to know Pigducks
Pigducks, similar to Red, is a self insert oc inspired off of generation four of My Little Pony. Pigducks is an oc I use often to vent my frustrations, recall memories of good and bad experiences in life, and is commonly used for relationship pairings with various fictional crushes. When coloring Pigducks, I made her canon color Crayola’s raspberry, which often times makes her look more pink than purple to those who see her.
“Please don’t laugh at my name.”
Pigducks acts and behaves a lot like RayTayArt, seeing as she’s a self insert oc. The cutie mark of a microphone and musical notes represents her talent and passion for singing, making it her best trait, despite having other talents; such as cooking, creative writing, and art. Pigducks has taken on several redesigns and alternate selves. Since she was the first self insert oc to be created, she became the model for different universe characters depending on what franchises I liked at the time.
Though her design was simple and recognizable, her name never went over well with people. This lead me to give Pigducks her alternative name, “Purple Note.” Purple Note was a name that sounded more fitting within the MLP universe. It also saved Pigducks from being laughed at and made fun of over the years.
Inspiration and Headcanons
Generation four, also known as Friendship is Magic, was my favorite generation of My Little Pony. Throughout middle school and high school, I practiced and drew tons of horse anatomy that was stylized like the show. Even my non mlp fanon ocs take on the appearance of the gen four style, though most of my current pony ocs do not have cutie marks.

If there’s one thing that can make RayTayArt happy, it’s rubber ducks! My collection of rubber ducks has gone on for as long as I can remember. So, when I was gifted a “Pigduck” for Easter one year by one of my grandparents, the name and fascination for such a silly species stuck with me! Pigducks was not only an oc for me, but also my previous online persona.

Sky
Sky, similar to Pigducks, is another oc based on MLP FIM. Sky’s first appearance and creation was in 2014. This was the year that I started dating Sky. Naturally, Sky’s oc became Pigducks’ partner!

Getting to know Sky
Sky, much like Pigducks, is an oc inspired off of generation four of My Little Pony. Sky is usually, if not always, drawn alongisde of Pigducks. While Sky originally had a cutie mark of the Xbox logo, he was adapted into one of the ponies I now draw without a cutie mark. This choice was made due to me wanting Sky and Pigducks both to be seen more as their own characters, rather than just fanon ocs.
“Talk about myself? What am I supposed to say? Can’t you just do it for me?”
A total tech wizard and die hard gamer, Sky knows his way around computers and consoles. From a young age, Sky grew up with the golden age of gaming, becoming very familiar with popular titles such as Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, and more! With his love for gaming, Sky majored in game design and leveling in college. Sky’s oc personality was originally based heavily on his knowledge and admiration for gaming, but has also been drawn to recall many memories that we’ve shared in our relationship.
Inspiration and Headcanons
While Sky’s color came from his name, his oc design took inspiration from a musician I was becoming a new fan of at the time; The Living Tombstone!

Bay Leaf
Bay Leaf is an oc I made back in 2018. Her first appearance was in the piece titled, “Over thinking!” Bay Leaf was an MLP FIM oc that I made for the purpose of having more unique characters to draw during high school aside from Pigducks and Sky.

Getting to know Bay Leaf
Not much is known about Bay Leaf since I never made much of her oc’s creation. Bay Leaf is quiet, peaceful, and introverted. She’s also a big fan of plants, herbs, spices, and nature. Bay Leaf enjoys the comfort of her quiet home, accompanied by her grey and white cat, Nutmeg.
“Would you like to know some facts about plants?”
Bay Leaf is a small, introverted mare who loves to cook and has a strong fascination for plants. Smart, quiet, and inquisitive, Bay Leaf often times shies away from large crowds, choosing to spend time with her cat, as well as her succulents and other house plants. She also enjoys experimenting with herbs and spices, hence her herb related name.
Inspiration and Headcanons
Bay Leaf’s quiet nature and admiration for plants was inspired off of Resasuke, a character featured in the 2018 animated t.v. series; Aggretsuko.

Ricci
Ricci, (also known as Richtofen) is the complete opposite of my self insert oc types. Ricci is my pony oc version of Edward Richtofen from the Call of Duty zombies storyline.

Getting to know Ricci
Ricci is a perfect pony embodiment of mulitple iterations crazed German scientist himself, Dr. Edward Richtofen. The main difference with Ricci is his soft spot for Red, who he cares for deeply and absolutely adores. Much like Sky to Pigducks, Red is Ricci’s partner.
“I have no ammo to treat meine patients!”
Growing up, I wasn’t usually allowed to play video games. Especially if said games were rated M for mature. With this in mind, I missed out on a lot of the golden age hype when some of the most iconic game titles were released. Now that I’ve grown up, I’ve been able to get my hands on all the games I missed out on. One of my current favorites is the Call of Duty: Black Ops series. Because of my love for the storylines and characters, Edward Richtofen quickly became my number one!
For those who are unfamiliar with Call of Duty and its characters, follow the link here for the official fandom wiki! https://callofduty.fandom.com/wiki/Edward_Richtofen
Inspiration and Headcanons
The initial inspiration to make my own oc take on Richtofen came from an artist by the name of Izumi. (Izumicrazyworld on Instagram) Izumi created their own version of Konig, a character seen in Modern Warfare Two. (The 2022 revamped edition)

In the Black Ops series, it’s confirmed that there isn’t just one Richtofen. Ricci’s personality and design focuses on the embodiment of two versions, Primis and Ultimis Richtofen.

Ricci’s design takes on a few different details that make him more “Ricci” rather than a usual Richtofen. The mustache is from Primis Richton’s design, and the cap he wears is from Ultimis. The scar seen on his cheek, however, was a feature added by me to make him more unique as an oc.
