Who is Charlie?
Charlie is a reoccurring character in my original work.
When was Charlie created? Where did he come from?
Charlie was created in 2018, originally intended to be a bartender insert for the hit video game Cuphead. (2017) At this time, I struggled quite a bit with realism and anatomy, both in which I’m still trying to improve upon. I chose a common animal (a cat) and used Charlie for a lot of art I made in high school. Even though I made Charlie as a Cuphead oc insert, I soon expanded upon Charlie’s personality and originality, making hi much more than just a game inserted character. Fun fact! Charlie was the first anthropomorphic character I ever made.
All About Charlie
Charlie is an anthro cat who specializes in mixology. He’s careful and agile on his feet, and is seen as very kind and charming. Charlie loves making conversation about anything and everything, especially over a drink. Although Charlie’s an experienced bartender, he knows when to limit his alcohol consumption. Charlie grew up with two loving parents, an older brother, and his best friend who was later adopted into the family.
Who is Jax?
Jax is a reoccurring character in my original work.
When was Jax created? Where did he come from?
Jax is Charlie’s biological older brother, created during the process of a scrapped perspective piece from 2019. I hadn’t previously thought about making any siblings for Charlie, but I later thought the idea of having an older brother would be neat. I wanted Charlie to have someone he could look up to, and give him extra people in the family to love and care for him
All About Jax
Jax is a mechanic who’s passion revolves solely around his work and admiration for cars; how they run, how they’re built, and how he can make them better. Jax loves the process of fixing up old and/or broken cars. He’s also a big fan of racing cars, taking the chance to race (safely) whenever he can. When Charlie was ready to start high school, Jax moved out of the house and attended college out of state. Although he isn’t always around to see Charlie thrive as an adult, Jax ensures close contact with everyone in the family, visiting home when possible.
Who is Hyro?
Hyro is a reoccurring character in my original work.
When was Hyro created? Where did he come from?
Hyro was created soon after Charlie in 2018. At the time of Hyro’s creation, I was inspired by the presence of an existing character in pop culture media. Hyro’s name and design stem from “Haida” a hyena who plays as a main character for the Netflix original series “Aggretsuko.” (2016) Hyro was the second antrho character I created, and was thrown in with Charlie as a Cuphead insert. Hyro was set to be Charlie’s best friend, a factor that has remained true since the creation of both characters. Hyro was also the first LGBTQ+ character I ever made. Hyro is bisexual.
All About Hyro
Hyro is a laid back, introverted wolf with dreams to be a rockstar. With the right company, Hyro can be the life of the party, but is quiet and relaxed on the surface. Hyro adores all types of music, but particularly favors rock and metal. A rough upbringing resulted in Hyro’s taste for rock and roll, as well as his early on rebellious actions and attitude towards life. When his parents caught wind of his sexuality, Hyro was disowned and adopted into Charlie’s family. Hyro and Charlie had already grown up together, making the two inseparable like brothers.
Who is Ace?
Ace is a reoccurring character in my original work.
When was Ace created? Where did he come from?
Ace was created in 2019, solely for the purpose of giving Hyro an ideal love interest that would be better for him than his ex girlfriend who cheated on him. Although there’s no direct inspiration for Ace’s design, I thought of designing him to look like an opposite version of Hyro, making his hair and fur much softer, as well as white fur instead of gray. However, Ace’s glasses were inspired by Elton John’s glasses. Ace is also an LGBTQ+ character of mine. Ace’s sexuality is gay.
All About Ace
Fashion is Ace’s passion. As a pup, Ace would dress up in the fanciest clothes he could find and always strived to impress others around him. He never favored the standard look for a male wolf, and would always go the extra mile to make himself look good in his outfits. This is also the reason why Ace wears pink glasses. They’re not prescription, Ace just likes the style! Ace works as a barista at a small book store, but hopes to one day start his own fashion line. He is also Hyro’s current boyfriend.
