Who is Bear?
This is Bear! Bear is a reoccurring character in my original work and children’s books.
When was Bear created? Where did he come from?
Bear was created back in 2018, quickly drawn during a slow shift at one of my previous jobs. One day while I was at one of my favorite bagel shops, I started to think about what kind of book I could make in relation to bagels. I thought making a character to showcase the variety of ways bagels could be enjoyed would be good for a kid’s book concept. That’s when I came up with Bear! I liked the alliteration of Bear and bagels, hence why I chose a bear to begin with.
All About Bear
Bear is super sweet and very friendly. He’s more of a teddy bear than a grizzly bear! Bear is an optimistic and generous baker who loves to make his own tasty treats, especially bagels. The forest he lives in habits lots of adventure and plenty of friends which Bear loves to have fun with. Bear is also musical, allowing him to start his own band of forest friends!

Who is Hare?
Hare is one of Bear’s best friends, who also appears in my original work and children’s books.
When was Hare created? Where did he come from?
Hare was created in 2022, making his first canonical appearance in “March of the Bagels.” While I intended to make Hare as Bear’s one and only best friend, I quickly extended upon that concept when making March of the Bagels. I decided on more friends for Bear to have, each of them being named after their species. Hare didn’t come from any specific inspiration. I chose “Hare” in order to rhyme with Bear.
All About Hare
Hare is a wise and analytical bookworm who usually enjoys calm and quiet activities. However, Hare can open up and become the life of the party when with friends. Hare knows an abundant amount of facts about plants and vegetables, making him very resourceful in agriculture. Hare also lives in the same forest as Bear.

Who is Fox?
Fox is one of Bear’s best friends, who also appears in my original work and children’s books.
When was Fox created? Where did he come from?
Much like Hare, Fox was created in 2022. Fox’s first canonical appearance was also in “March of the Bagels.” I wanted to choose animals that would often times be found in forests, but also give each member of Bear’s band enough variety in species and personality.
All About Fox
Foxes are often depicted in pop culture media as tricky, sinister, and overall nefarious. Fox was created in order to represent the entire opposite perspective. Fox is friendly and affectionate, always going out of his way to assist others. He’s an excellent listener but never fails to make conversation. Fox’s sharp teeth can be off putting to some, but can quickly revere when he shows off his big happy grin.

Who is Skunk?
Skunk is one of Bear’s best friends, who also appears in my original work and children’s books.
When was Skunk created? Where did she come from?
Similar to her friends Hare and Fox, Skunk was created in 2022. Skunk’s first canonical appearance was in “March of the Bagels.” I wanted to choose animals that would often times be found in forests, but also give each member of Bear’s band enough variety in species and personality.
All About Skunk
Skunk is kind, caring, and cautious. She likes to play it safe and avoid anything that could be potentially dangerous to her and those around her. Although she’s careful, she never shies away from fun adventures with her friends. Skunk also loves to sing and dance in the band.
