Everyone has their own ways of just passing the time. I found myself with a bit of spare time last week in one of my classes, but I was also feeling pretty tired that morning. So, what better way to wake up then with some warm up sketches? Check out these silly little colored sketches I made of Ghost Face while in class.
I find that making sketches before starting to full on create a new piece can really help you prepare mentally, as well as get you into the necessary mindset required in order to take on big projects.
The best part about doing some warm up sketches is that they don’t need to be perfect. They also don’t need to be of anything specific. Let’s say you’re getting ready to render out a beautiful figure drawing. Warm up by drawing a head of lettuce you saw at the store. Sketch out a position of your pet laying around on the floor. It doesn’t have to matter! Just get yourself excited to do something great, and you’ll feel much better afterwards.
