During my final year of art college, I was tasked to make a fantasy themed project for one of my digital art classes. That piece would soon become, “Summer Vacation Gone Wrong!” As seen in my digital gallery. During the initial creative process of making zombies, I became really attached to one in particular; Possum Zombie.
With my admiration for horror movies and newfound love for the strange, undead creature, I began making a parody/spoof horror movie poster based on Possum Zombie. And now, after three years, that piece has finally been finished! I wanted to finish this piece much earlier. I’m glad I was able to finally find the time and motivation to finish it! The idea with “Look Out! It’s Possum Zombie!” was intended to be similar to the older, lower budget horror movies that could scare people during the time period, yet be laughed at and called out for poor effects and lack of realism.
