I recently had the pleasure of seeing Scream 6 in 3D. For those who aren’t familiar, the Scream franchise is one of my absolute favorites! There’s plenty of fanart in my gallery tabs. Spoilers ahead!
Scream 6 was another great installment to the series. It feels great to see as many as six movies going strong in such a neat series of horror movies. This movie definitely doesn’t feel like a lazy cash grab. Instead, there’s so many new things to see! Creative kills, a brand new atmosphere, and beloved returning characters from previous installments.
Something I really adored was not only the brand new setting in New York, but also the homage and references to previous Scream movies. There was just the right amount of nostalgia for earlier fans to enjoy, but still enough explanation and continuity for newer fans to catch up on. Although it may not be my top pick, it’s still a great movie that shows its efforts and passion for horror.
